“A MOSAIC OF MEMORIES” RELEASED.

The Goa Sudharop e-book titled “A Mosaic of Memories” was launched by USA- based co-founder of Goa Sudharop, Mr. George J. Pinto, at a well attended function at Hotel Mandovi this evening. The function also saw Goa Sudharop distributing cash awards amounting to approximately two lakhs to various Goan orphanages who serve orphans from different Goan communities, included children affected with HIV / AIDS.

Goa Sudharop Community Development Inc., a USA- based non profit, volunteer NGO working for the betterment of Goa and Goans worldwide celebrated 2006 as the year of the Seniors. Goa Sudharop had invited essays or poems from Goan Seniors on the topics “Reminiscences of my Goan Youth” and “Giving back to Goa and Goans”. Others who wished to pay tributes to Seniors were also encouraged to send in their entries. The book “A Mosaic of Memories” is a compilation of these entries into an attractive user- friendly e-book that can be easily read by anyone anywhere in the world. The book has been edited by volunteer Valerie Rodrigues.

Local representative of Goa Sudharop, Mr. Ibonio D’Souza welcomed the distinguished guests at the function. While Mr. George J.Pinto delivered the keynote address.  The function was com peered by volunteer Melinda Powel. The e-book can be accesses from the Goa Sudharop web site: www.goasudharop.org
